COMP 171: Principles of Computing Science I


Course Description

A disciplined introduction to problem-solving methods and program development. Topics include standard control structures, basic data structures, algorithms and abstraction mechanisms, testing, and an introduction to algorithm analysis.

Course evaluation will be based on the ability of students to learn material. The ability to learn the material will be judged with the following weight:
